About Me

I have been writing poetry for over 20 years. It is art, it is solace, it is precision-honed craft. I like forms such as sonnets and the rhythm of iambic, but I also write in free verse and prose-poetry and whatever seems right for the piece at hand. Sometimes I bother submitting to journals, and sometimes they accept those offerings. Sometimes I just publish my poems here.

I have a B.A. in English and Plan II from the University of Texas at Austin (2005). In September of 2020 I completed a year-long training as an integration mentor; if you are interested in my professional work, you can find out more at ThePatternBreaker.com. Poetry played a big part in my healing journey, and may become a tool I use with clients who are seeking an outlet for their story and their grief, and a path toward dreaming with hope.

For now, this site is for me to walk my talk and share my emotional story.
